everyone seems to agree that the b&o app is mediocre , rather inquiring for a premium brand…
it is high time for b&o to recruit interface designers and developers at the heights.
the bullshit has lasted long enough

For my room I like my BL17 surround 2db louder than « reference »
You don’t always want the sound to be what the producers want it to be. In the end, you want your home theater to sound the way you want it to be. Use your preferred calibration to start but make adjustments as needed so your room sounds the best to you.

????
Thank you Sandyb ! Your contributions are always useful, thanks to your advice I now have an external streamer with my BL50 and it brought them at another level ?
Still no volume control for the BL50. I guess it came back on some kind of beta test app ? I use my BL50 with an external streamer connected by RCA. It’s a nightmare to use without volume control, perhaps the interface designers of the B&O app should know that BL50 volume can’t be controlled by beoremote one …
I don’t know who is responsible of the interface design but he should stop weed ?
Give us volume control back please ?
« For a premium company their apps really stink!!! »
Totally agree ?
Geoff, how to measure precisely distance to BL50 ?
From my ears to the front of the tweeter ? From my nose to the front of the speaker ?thank you for your help
Waiting for your first impressions !
« I would say a little buzz about new products could stimulate the appetite for B&o (products)! »
I could not say better…
Oh thank you for clarifying !
when I do the room compensation measures for the BL50 , the acoustic lens can be open (wide) or narrow, so the position of the acoustic lens does nothing on the measures? Or is it a bug and I should measure in narrow ?
Same problem with my Harmony …
What I understood is that wide and narrow (for BL50) is a completely different behavior for the speakers (thanks to dsp), like having 2 different pairs of speakers.
So I run a room compensation with narrow selected and 3 points closely spaced (one chair no friends). This is for critical listening
And I run another room compensation with wide selected and 3 points “around my sofa” as explained by Geoff. This is for sharing music or a movie with my family.
Did the same and the battery never came back …
And watch the video done by Geoff Martin for BL90 calibration and you will be more than happy ?
