Not quite the comparison asked for here, but if I stream radio to my BV11 active speakers, the sound seems slightly sharper than streaming via either a Beomaster 2000 or Olive 1 to Beovox S45’s. Of course this may reflect nothing more than the low frequency capability of the S45’s.

If you think of the BV10 or 11 etc, arguably the cheaper component was always the tv screen itself. As TV’s are now relatively cheap, adding a TV to the BS theatre produces a combined product at about the same price as those previous Beovisions, and at least you should be able to upgrade the screen from time to time without replacing the sound bar.

PS. But I will stick with the BV11 as my main TV!
This is the product that B&O should have produced 5-10 years ago. Price is a problem going forward, especially as discretionary spending is going to be hit by the economic crisis.

Answered by the end of MMs video. Attachment is not a slot but a drop in stand with rear attachment for the screen.

Could do with a bit more detail on how the tv screen slots in. How stable will the screen support be on the motorised wall hinge version?

Had a similar problem with my BV 11 pictures posted to Beoworld some years ago, showing how to route the hidden cables from the wall to the hinge area.
A dealer had the nerve to use one picture suggesting it was his own installation. I can’t find it again……. presumably they’ve moved on from installing BV11’s.
Well done to all winners. I can’t believe how I managed to miss the draw, even after getting an email reminder.

1203 radial turntable. Mine’s from 1973 ish. Beefier looking arm than later models, but with SP14 it’s somehow very futuristic looking, even 50 years on.

Average price per tile £500? So that’s a £40K investment, and much of the sound well above head height (unless there’s a mezzanine, (from which the photo was taken?))
It would be interesting to hear just what has been installed and how effective it is.

I’m inclined to agree with Mr 10%. Look at a clothing retailers recent history for comparison. Brooks Bros were, at 200 years old, the oldest prestigious US tailor. They got into financial trouble and were bought out by an Italian gentleman who used high quality Italian fabrics but quietly moved manufacturing to China. There are several Savile Row tailors doing the same.
Tastes changed and the demand for suits collapsed. Stores closed. Stock was sold off. Last year you could get a £1500 Brooks Bros suit at Tkmaxx for £75.
Covid has wrecked many markets, including formal wear for the office. Is there a relevant comparison for B&O? Financial difficulties, Chinese manufacturing to reduce costs… Both Brooks and B&O have traded on long long established reputations, but you can only do that for so long. And as stated by 10%, there’s a terrible financial wave about to hit…. a wave that will kill all non essential purchases.
Testing.
