Hi Olivier,
I will follow up with a video in the coming weeks explaining exactly how to control a Beogram from Google or Alexa. Beolink Intelligence is used to combine scenes with TV and motor stand control as far as I am aware.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Sorry I don’t know what processing is done behind the scenes here. I don’t think there is anything wrong with combining B&O’s expertise (TVs, speakers, headphones, etc) with the best that other high-end tech companies can offer. We don’t expect B&O to make their own lighting or motorised window shades, but we know any good B&O store can provide a fully integrated setup with lighting and window control from your B&O remote. The same is true with this theatre room. B&O speakers work seamlessly with other brands of projector, lighting and audio processor.
Yes, it would be nice if B&O made everything, but that probably isn’t realistic. This way, the things that need to be “B&O quality” get the attention they require and the whole system looks and operates as though every part were a B&O product.
I love this cinema and they had a lot of trouble trying to remove me when the demo was finished 😉
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Johan,
That looks like a great store, I love visiting new B&O stores when I am travelling abroad. Here is something a little different, on my first visit to B&O Copenhagen last month – the video was taken by my friend Henrik, who you may know from his BOTF Facebook group…
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Patricia,
Welcome to BeoWorld! Glad to hear that the cable I sent for the Beogram is working well.
You just need this cable to link any non-B&O CD player to the Tape input of the Beomaster as MM mentioned, this is the cable you need:-
Any questions, please ask!
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Yes, I can help. I am away on vacation until Tuesday, but the item in the link below will be available when I return to give a direct connection to the primary Beolab 28 speaker.
As this Beogram doesn’t have a pre-amp, you will need this pre-amp kit, which comes with all cables needed and full instructions, ready to “plug and play”:-
https://soundsheavenly.com/beogram-record-players/12-2196-pre-amp-bundle-for-bo-beogram-and-all-turntables.html#/36-output-5_pin_din_aux/41-power_supply-uk – please choose the “3.5mm TRS plugs” output option for your speaker
Kind regards Steve.
Hi,
Sorry I am away on vacation at the moment, so I won’t have any further chance to respond on BeoWorld.
However, please feel free to email me directly via my website using the link at the foot of this page and I can help you via email.
I will be able to respond to BeoWorld requests again from 26th July onwards.
Thanks for your patience.
Kind regards Steve.
Hi,
Sure, the Airport Express Express doesn’t generate a trigger signal, so my cable provides this. Here are the details of the cable (you can see full information when my site opens tomorrow morning):-
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Lawso,
Yes, I can help! Please purchase either Apple Airport Express, Google Chromecast Audio, Audiocast M5, Tibo Bond Mini or any Bluetooth receiver for wireless music from your phone to your B&O Beolab 7-x or Beolab 10 TV speaker (sorry I don’t sell these devices, only the cables!)
When used with any of the devices listed above, your Beolab 7-x/10 speaker needs a special powered cable to generate the trigger signals to activate it:-
In this configuration, the music player will control the speaker volume, but the speaker will remain on all the time that the trigger cable is connected and powered on.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Yes, my B&O app is also locking up repeatedly on all my iOS devices. The only way I can get in is to turn off wi-fi, open the app and then turn wi-fi back on.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Razlaw,
Yes, I had exactly the same issues with my stereo paired Emerge speakers yesterday since the software update. I had to remove both speakers from my account in the app and then re-install them, which (so far) seems to have fixed the problem.
I have raised this to B&O, awaiting their reply…
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Another new bug, my (cabled) stereo paired Emerges lost their pairing in the night for the first time ever after updating to 10017 recently. By the way, I don’t suggest removing the battery from the Level when not in use.
Update: I checked from my router and I could see the Ethernet connection to both speakers, but they weren’t able to pair within the B&O app, only the primary speaker would play. I removed both speakers from my account and added them again, went back through the setup process and they are working.
I will monitor their behaviour and I have reported the bugs, lets see if we get a response.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
Yes, this cable provides simultaneous audio in and out, so whatever is playing on the speakers (CD, radio, A. Mem or Aux) can also be recorded via the Aux output using this cable.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi all,
Update: After manually updating the Emerges to the new 10017 software, none of my iOS devices would log into the B&O app, except the one that I used to carry out the updates.
I fixed that my taking the phones to another wi-fi network and opening the app, then bringing them back home and they were then able to log in.
I guess this may be an issue with the corrupted log files from the 10015 software, as mentioned above by B&O. Hope this may be helpful.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi trackbeo,
Yes, I accepted the new update manually, I had to update each Emerge separately as they were set to have auto updates turned off. All is working fine at 10017 software level, with the auto updates still disabled after this manual update.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi,
I’m not sure about the Halo issue, but I have received the following response from B&O regarding the software updates:-
“We halted the rollout of 10015, because we found an error. This luckily didn’t affect any customers (no registered cases), but “polluted” logfiles. Now we have successfully rolled out 10017, which solves the error and also contains improvements for Bluetooth.”
I hope this helps to explain the situation so that these speakers should now be stable on the latest software update.
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Pindsen,
I don’t know B&O’s future plans for each building (even if I did, it wouldn’t be my place to share this), but I know that things are looking positive for the company, with a good financial outlook and employee numbers rising again.
The Sound Hub is an exciting venture and there were people from various different companies in Struer when I was there who were using this facility.
This is certainly a positive time for B&O and I am interested to see what the future holds.
Kind regards, Steve.
Thanks Pindsen,
I didn’t record an interview with Kristian, we talked about our shared love of the brand (he has owned B&O since the 1990s, almost as long as I have!) and his vision for the future of the company.
I am excited that B&O is in good hands and I look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the next few years.
Kind regards, Steve.
Thanks MM,
I’m also a B&O “user” rather than a “collector” (I just have one B&O item that I don’t use at the moment, a 1970s Beocenter that is under repair). I am torn between the two viewpoints, as I don’t want to see rare and unique B&O items hidden away and lost (sometimes not even able to be enjoyed by the owner), but I know that museums such as Struer and Bremdal have got some of their best items as gifts from private collectors.
Maybe if some collectors would be interested in “loaning” a few of their special items to a museum, or documenting the rarest items they have found, then this could help all the other B&O fans who haven’t had a chance to see or hear about these items.
I felt like a child in a sweet shop when I visited the B&O museums around the Struer area, I want more B&O enthusiasts to be able to experience this joy as well.
Kind regards, Steve.
Wow,
Thanks Martin! Please keep the pictures coming!
Kind regards, Steve.
Thanks Martin,
That is interesting to hear. Would you be willing to have a conversation privately about possibly showing some of the pictures or documentation from your collection please?
There are a lot of people who share our love for vintage B&O products, but who don’t get the change to experience these wonderful collections and I know that many of them would be excited to hear about the items you have found.
Kind regards, Steve.
