What app is this? Looking pretty cool and quite different from my B&O app. The two tagged sources are joined. What about the linked source?
Excellent, thanks, this works.
Hooray!!! Thanks @Pipeandslippers for pointing me to the update. The manual is excellent. After following the steps, all works well again.
The Android OS is still incredibly slow and outdated but at least it is working again. This is great progress and great to see B&O found a way to fix it (or someone else did).
Thanks so much for all your kind responses.
I decided to go ahead with 8 tiles in all Kavrad (no oak).
May take a while until it is set up, but will report back.
Thanks!
Beo4 without Navi button, but with a “go button”
Not sure, which BV7 and don’t know where to find the setting in the BV7?
I did a factory reset of the BOne and now I can also no longer turn on & off the BV. So, it is worse now.
Not sure I should open a new thread, but my issue seems very similar.
I have a Beoremote 4 and also Beoremote One (IR). I am trying to use it with my Beovision 7 (using PUC). See below my issue:
- Beoremote One – I can turn on and off the BV7, but I cannot use it to control the Apple TV 4k (connected via PUC). Only turn on & off works
- Beoremote 4 – I can turn on and control the Apple TV via PUC. It works quite well, but not perfect. Some buttons (back / select) are swapped. But at least the arrows work to control the Apple TV.
Any ideas appreciated! Particularly on the Beoremote One.
Thanks for sharing. Indeed a very pricey solution. Also clear from the posts you linked.
It seems to work though. And I didn’t see any alternatives?
Got it, so seems it will be an OLED S95 that still has the connect box, which I appreciate for my setting.
I will try to use the TV speaker as center speaker and then use Beolabs to complete the 5.1 setup. I believe below box should allow me to do so (even in a hybrid wired & wireless setup). Any experience with that?

You’d both go with an 4k Oled over a 8k Qled?
Thanks for sharing your detailed notes. You got me thinking again.
I think I am good with the One Connect Box and Samsung.
You open up my thinking again though about the following options
- Frame (as I thought I had concluded)
- 8k (QN700 or QN800)
- Oled (S90)
I made some research and concluded I will go for the Samsung Frame. Either the 75″ or 85″ version. I like the concept with having a separate Box that the TV stays ultra-flat on the wall with just a tiny, less visible cable.
Any thoughts from this group whether this makes sense? I would then need to find some way to connect Beolab speakers, but assume a 2.0 or 3.0 should always be somehow possible
Thanks for your thoughts.
It’s a bit off-topic, but any thoughts on SONY x90? Your concern above is that it’s not thin enough?
Or TLC? Or Samsung or LG?
Is OLED or Mini LED better suited?
You are right about the Theatre, but not yet ready to spend the big money…
I’d be ok just to go with 2.0 or even better 2.1, 3.0 or 3.1. I am aware some folks get the full monty running, but not plannig to go down the route. I thought there was some easier way without such sreaming box?
The C2 is too bulky for wallmount or why are you suggesting the G? Any other models you would recommend?
December 30, 2022 at 2:22 pm in reply to: Stream audio to Beovision without turning on screen #13296Thanks. I don’t think the B&O app can “call” mybuttons?
Another idea. I should be able to “link” the BV to a Beosound 1 (or A9). So, I can play to the Beosound 1 and can then choose to also play to the linked product?
Or does the “link feature” no longer work?
Only issue may be that the music will then always play to both the Beosound 1 and the Beovision. And no longer possible to only play to the Beosound only?
December 30, 2022 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Stream audio to Beovision without turning on screen #13288Thanks.
My BV and my A9 are both connected to the same home wifi. I also have an ATV connected via HDMI to the BV (also connected to the same wifi).
Ideally, I don’t want to touch the BR One to stream music. Just my iphone to play music (Spotify) or extend audio over NL.
Both BV and A9 show up in the B&O app. All works smoothly as long as the BV is turned on.
What I am trying to solve is to stream audio to the BV. Either directly via NL or using AP via the ATV. Or through another device (e.g., CC). But in any case, I would like to stream the audio to the BV without using the BROne to turn it on. Can audio mode be activated via line-in sense? Via HDMI sense? or via the B&O app via “join”? Or other ideas?
December 30, 2022 at 1:15 pm in reply to: Stream audio to Beovision without turning on screen #13285Pulling up an old thread again.
I am still trying to solve for the holy grail: Playing audio to my BV Horizon without turning on the screen and without using the Beoremote.
I can initiate stream to my A9 (airplay or B&O Radio). I then want to extend the stream to my BV Horizon via the B&O app. However, this only seems to work when the BV is already turned on?
Does extending via the app require the TV to be turned on? If so, any other ideas how to get what I want to achieve? Maybe with an Essence? Or a Halo?
Thanks. I already have an ATV connected. I am happy with panel and audio quality.
The device is bricked though since the firmware ugrade. Transparenct by B&O would have helped… Or working on some form of fix…
I like your constructive spirit thinking of solutions.
I would like to be able to stream audio to the Horizon, while the Horizon is turned off. Ideally via Spotify Connect, but anything else would be a fine substitute. Not sure that’s doable though with any of the solutions you lay out? Also, I don’t think the B&O APP supports streaming to non-B&O Spotify-Connect implementations?
Yes, everything else works.
I think I found the solution on reddit and also the B&O hotline confirmed the issue.
If you factory-reset the BV Horizon, you basically brick it. Google stopped supporting the BZ Horizon, so you can no longer log into Google and also not use any smart device features.
B&O recommends to connect a Apple TV instead. This does not solve though that Spotify-Connect and native Chromecast no longer works.
Seems I now have two devices (Horizon and Moment) that are bricked due to B&O no longer updating the software or not renewing licenses. In case of the Horizon, this is quite an early decision as it was still sold 3 (?) years ago…
Lesson learnt!
Unfortunately, I still cannot log into Google. This prevents me from using Chromecast and Spotify-Connect, which are critical to me 🙁
I realized another issue, which may or may not be related. When trying to open streaming apps, it asks me to log on to the “B&O Smart TV server”. It times out saying “Conncting to B&O Smart TV Server”. Any idea whether that’s working for other BV Horizon owner and what the latest software is? Mine is from 2019.
I didn’t find any evidence in Google Security settings. Neither in 3rd party apps, where only my Beosound shows up. Any other thoughts?
