Maybe 8s as front and 8000 as rear will perform better in the surround system , 80% sound come from L C R,and 8s is technically better than 8000

I am very dissapointed by the Theatre, not the product itself, but the software. e.g. Spotify no longer listed in music sources, but in the tv sources list. Contacting B&O support… please sir could you do a factory reset? Have done it 4 times now and I am tired of it. You lose all your settings. Unbelievable.

completely agree with you,and there is no airplay source that i can set for

When did B&O suddenly start calling the theatre The “BeoVision Theatre” when it’s paired with a screen? The name also changed on its own in the app. Screenshot 2024-01-29 at 12.17.26 PM

This seems very reasonable, just a marketing move.

Yeah i think thats the advantage of the three way design, the 5inch subwoofer can focus on low frequency, but you should also notice that 28hz is under the -10db definition

I think 8’s bass is more than enough for stero music. In most cases there is no need to add a subwoofer unless you’re watching a movie

In general very pleased with the performance. The BL8 is better matched to the theatre and 28’s than the 17’s. Without much effort or tweaking they are much more present to give front L and R channels a big upgrade. Beam width is different from the 28’s. Wide setting is a more open and room filling experience but I still mostly prefer narrow for music as I do with th 28’s. the possibilities in modifying listening positions and speaker role assignment is endless and you can lose yourself trying different things. Like using the front L/R speaker groups as front is nice but you lose stereo imaging from the front BL8 as well as clarity and spaciousness without using the app to open the sound field. for music listening with 8 +28+19 it’s a great combo too.

I’m thinking moving my 18s to the back and add 17s or 8s as the FR and FL,but for the price i can almost get 2 set of 17s instead of 1 set of 8s and i can upgrade to maybe 5.1.2 system instead of 5.1.0. So 8s is really a big jump from 17s when it comes to a surround setup?Really appreciate for your suggestion.

Very curious to test this. tomorrow I’m collecting the 8’s to replace the 17’s as front L/R with BST as center, BL19 for sub and BL28’s as surrounds. Pity the ultra wide band feature is not ready yet. haven’t read anything about 17’s trumping the 18’s. Was this about woofer size and bass output! maybe I need to try and integrate the 17’s as height channels from the ceiling ?

                                  How does it going?

I have a pair of 18s connect to my BST as front left and right, and I set my BST front left and front right speaker as “subwoofer center” in b&o app and other BST drivers as “none”,but when playing music there’s no bass from my theatre,”true image” is on,is there anything wrong i done above?

In my old setup I had B&O speakers connected to a Marantz AV system, with 3 game systems and other HDMI cables connected in a cabinet bellow. It was a hot mess of cables and a major pain to change anything. It was all hidden though including the cables. When I got the theatre I decided to get rid of the cabinet and get the floor stand instead. The problem was I still needed to connect 4 HDMI devices like: Apple TV, XBOX, NINTENDO, PS5. So I put all those HDMI items in the closet behind the couch and listening position. I use a Hue Sync box as well which all the HDMI devices input to and then I run a single Optical HDMI cable through concealed floorboards to the theatre. Everything turns on and off through HDMI control, I never have to interact with the HDMI devices unless I insert a DVD game. It amazingly has worked perfectly since day one, all of it. In your case you can put the AV system tucked away somewhere and just run the one cable to the TV. https://www.cablematters.com/Blog/HDMI/how-do-active-hdmi-cables-work And you can wall mount your Apple TV somewhere hidden: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07BPX8KL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 But honestly I just recommend the theatre. It’s rather glorious visually and the sound is amazing as well. I do suggest a Sony TV over the LG G2/3 though. Sony has much better picture processing. This is my previous AV setup with everything in the cabinet: IMG_2810 This is the cabinet removed and all the cables required: IMG_0730 This is after the theatre and all HDMI devices in the back of room. I was using a black cable hide temporarily. DSC02444 And in the end I hid them with some white cable hiders: IMG_1879 Hope that helps

Just want to know can theatre’s TV connect part works with non-lg brand tv?

This actually surprised me the most. I currently have the Theatre, BL18’s for fronts and BL3 for rears and I find the bass is quite intense when it needs to be especially in movies. I would think that with 28’s involved it would be more than enough? What average room size do you think is most peoples setups?

How do you think Bl3s as rear, enough for movie?

Very unique design, love it,do they really sound better than BL18s?And if they both connect to theatre ,which sound better,BL18s+BST or BL8S+BST?

I saw a new update for the B&O app this morning and downloaded it. However, the app still crashes when searching for and adding Receiver 1 speakers. It would seem logical that after detecting the Receiver 1 that it would then prompt us to assign the type of speaker. However, the app just crashes and only shows those speakers detected as Receiver 1.

I would like to know does the latest software update for Theatre solve the problem?
