Hallo John,
Viel Erfolg,
Rolf
I just listened to this new and very enjoyable release from Moby………the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track
MM
Moby as well – on tape ?!

Just to complete the information about B&O Radio and the BeoSound Moment, may be some will find it useful.
Customer Service informed me that the Moment is not and will not be upgradable to B&O Radio.
Although TuneIn will be swept from all other devices, it will remain for the Moment to be used with. So, in a way, I think it can be a positive aspect, if using a Moment in the network, it is possible to access both B&O Radio and TuneIn, still.
Kind regards,
Rolf
Go and grab one and enjoy your ML products working together with NL products!

Hello Xavier,
Johan has mentioned what is to my knowledge the final sw version. Last year, I had to order a repair of one of my BLC ´ s and they needed to exchange the electronics completely. So, more or less a new unit, and it says sw is on 1.4.3.19864. You should be careful indeed, and buy only a BLC with the latest sw version. If it is on a lower level sw version, it may be so because of faulty electronics.
The sw versions of the BLC are, from latest to older:
1.4.3.19864 – Final version
1.4.3.19816
1.4.2.19611
1.4.1.19522
Those are the ones I know about.
Kind regards,
Rolf
Norah Jones „I dream of Christmas“, B Side, vinyl in opaque silver (issue 2021). Played on BG 4500, connected to respective BM.

It’s that time of year again for us to watch Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character lament the complete destruction of her beloved Beosystem 4500.
Absolute lovely movie, I slow-mo´d this scene several times, truely great! And heartbreaking. In German TV it has several different titles, this year it is „Schöne Bescherung“ (which I do not know how to translate, it describes the time of Christmas Day in Germany, when the young and old kids receive their Christmas presents).
From tomorrow until 26th it will be broadcasted seven times over TV.

Thanks Rolf. Maybe it is the Core that needs a bit of software work then. I am afraid I cannot help you with the Moment [edit] issue. Best of luck!
Johan,
I was too quick with my conclusion. The Beo 4 still does not switch the radio station when starting the Essence. Using the app and then the Beo 4 – like before – enables the remote to switch the station.
Concerning the Moment, I made a follow up request to customer service.

So, after returning to my home, I tried the migration I did trigger during the week in the app, et voilá, it proved to be working – almost.
All devices are working, except my BS Moment. It shows B&O radio surface as well as TuneIn, but is still fixed on TuneIn. Even if I set it in radio services on B&O Radio (which I had to do by ticking the circled box manually), it plays TuneIn. A manual switch to B&O radio brings up the “not supported” message.
In the menu of the connected BLC I also am able to only select TuneIn. it does not show B&O radio as my other BLC does.
Anyone here who has done the migration with the Moment?
Strangely, the afore mentioned second BLC, connected to my BS Essence MK II, says in the app menu, that it is integrated with the Moment, which it definitely is not.
After having set all devices to B&O Radio, it seems that I am able to switch radio stations with Beo4 and BR1 in IR mode, if I start the Essence with my remotes. Still, I am not sure yet, if I did something with the app before using the remotes, so I will keep testing.

I received very quick feedback from B&O customer support, great service! Stating, my app not being on the newest sw level. That proved to be true, although I do not know why it did not update automatically. First, there was no possibility to update, but checking several times in the app shop, eventually it said „update“ and I did. My app is now at sw version 4.4.2.22112852170. Could anybody confirm, please?
I am traveling at the moment, so I will check when I am home at the weekend.
B&O told me to try, if the problem with the Beo 4 persists after the update. If so, I will go back to customer service again.
Rolf
My Essence MK II received the same update. It is connected as primary to a BLC, set up as A.Master. I use in one part of this ML network a BL Active with two BL 4500. TuneIn is mapped to Radio on a Beo 4. I cannot switch radio stations with my remote after starting Radio, though it is possible to start it with my Beo 4.
I also have opened a ticket at customer service for this issue, and also for the non functional B&O Radio migration.
Rolf
My Eclipse 1st Gen updated automatically. The latest sw version is indeed what you see in your BV.
Have you set updates to auto or manually?
Kind regards,
Rolf
Christian today posted a bunch of articles / links on the Discord server, explaining all the changes to functionality (explains change in my Buttons, alarms, one touch operation etc etc) Here are a few of them, though its probably easier to read his long Discord post. https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/8716445177745 https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/9940012232081 https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/9940005580689 https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/10855168034833 https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/10275507993489
Thanks for pointing towards the explanation, that helps to understand. Unfortunately I cannot operate according to the hints how to toggle between radio services, because it is not available in my app.
Rolf
Could it be the case that some of the disfunctional behavior of the migration is due to the connection of the respective device with a BLC?
So far there has been no one with a proper working migration in the Eclipse. The Essence seems to migrate but not mine. It is connected with a BLC, same with my Moment. So maybe this causes a stop to the migration process somehow. Anybody else with migration trouble and in a similar set up?
Rolf
@Rolf2 Could you post the exact number of the sw version…..or just say, if it is identical with the one I posted here? MM
MM, I would say, they are identical. Here are my sw versions:
Essence MK II: 2.1.50867
Beosound 2: 2.1.50871
Moment: 2.2.31594
Eclipse 1st Gen: 5.3.51126
I also have a BLGW which is already integrated in my network but not yet in use. In summer I started programming – but did not progress in the last 3 month – and thus have some sources active. As ebnrob wrote, I can see B&O Radio in the sources, though I get a mixed result:
Eclipse shows TuneIn + B&O Radio.
Essence shows TuneIn + B&O Radio.
Moment only shows TuneIn.
Selecting B&O Radio in the BLGW does not trigger playing it through the source („waiting for product“).
I hope they will get it fixed soon, would be nice having „B&O Radio“ listed in my BR1ˋs ?.
Kind regards,
Rolf
I disconnected the systems from the mains after the migration process. Tonight I made a reboot of each device from the app. It did not change anything, B&O Radio still not supported.
Rolf
I had to trigger the migration process in every single non-Mozart device manually. Is this the same for others with more than one „ASE“ unit?
I received the same result as Yann, having a duplicated favorite´s list in each device. Also, in all of my devices, B&O Radio is mentioned to be „not supported“. I can switch manually between it and TuneIn, but only the latter starts a radio station. So it´s good I still am able to use net radio. All of my units are sw updated.
In the Emerge, the favorite list has been different from my other products, and now both lists seem to be merged in B&O Radio.
Rolf
I did it. In the radio section of my Beosound 2 I did push the migration button. A text asked me then to automatically move my favorite stations from TuneIn into B&O Radio. I confirmed and on the screen´s left side my favorites were listed. On the right side appeared for each radio station a confirmation „hit“, „no hit“ or „multiple hits“ and I could click on it to check the results. To my surprise I found that some of the stations I already had in store using B&O Radio with my Emerge were called a „no hit“. I decided to use the backwards arrow and I landed safely in TuneIn, though the migration possibility for my BS2 is gone now, but not for my other devices.
Now I played around a little, switching back and forth between TuneIn and B&O Radio. I found out that in TuneIn a station, e. g. like „ABC Lounge Jazz“ from France, in B&O Radio is named „ABC Lounge Radio“. That seems to produce a „no hit“ result in case a migration search is being done. I found that to be true for other favorite stations as well.
I guess, a lot of TuneIn radio stations are already existing in B&O Radio but have a – partially- different name. The fact that search results are only displayed with a maximum of 10 hits supports the impression that a lot of stations are missing and is very irritating and an unnecessary limitation, from my perspective. This should be updated soon.
Rolf
I just made a search in the B&O app on the word “Christmas” in both TuneIn and B&O Radio.. B&O Radio = 10 hits TuneIn = 31 hits
Interesting comparison. I did it as well and came up with 33 in TuneIn. In B&O radio I let the search run and received 10 hits. Then I spotted a button on the far right side below the search field named “search for international radio stations” (my, most likely clumsy, translation into english). Pushing it, another 10 hits were available. Of those, 2 were the same as in the previous, most likely “international” search, 8 were different, so I received a total of 18 different hits. What I find funny, in both searches national radio stations were found. It may be that the search success depends on some kind of category the radio station is tagged to?
Also, I found that if you add another word in front or after “christmas”, you receive additional and different hits, e. g. “christmas rock”. In any case, there are a maximum of ten hits, so the number of search results seems to be restricted but not the number of radio stations?
Kind regards,
Rolf
