Beosound Moment also supports wireless audio speakers via WISA. Unfortunately B&O is not doing any more firmware upgrades, so it’s no clear how long the Moment will continue to fuction. ๐
Can custom URLs be entered in B&O Radio?
I have a few stations that I can’t listen to directly from TuneIn or B&O Radio. For example, KNKX 88.5FM Seattle-Tacoma does not play correctly on any of my devices – something about their encoding upsets the equipment. I set up a Raspberry Pi to receive the official stream and re-stream it in a format that the B&O equipment can play. In TuneIn I was able to set a custom URL to the Raspberry Pi stream so I can listen to my favorite station. But this requires the ability to set a custom URL, which wasn’t in the B&O Radio last time I looked. Has this been fixed yet?.

Absolutely brilliant!
The 5’s are gorgeous, and the 7-55 is a perfect fit. Your setup looks beautiful and I’m sure it will sound amazing. I’m excited to read your future posts when it’s all up and running.
Congratulations!
For me itโs definitely the BeoSound Moment.
. . .
The rewrite was a massive improvement, but itโs still only beta quality.
I own two, but I bought the first one just about a month before the rewrite and the other a year later, so I didn’t have to go through that miserable experience. I really love my Moments, I just wish they hadn’t abandoned the product – the hardware platform has so much promise. All the home automation they’re trying to squeeze into the Beoremote Halo would work much better on the larger screen of the Moment .
which dlna server do you use? my mood wheel is not responding.
I have been using Twonky on a Raspberyy Pi for DLNA, but to be honest I only access it a few time a year. I almost exclusively stream music with Deezer HiFi.
The middle and outer ring of the mood wheel should still work from your Deezer music account. The center ring has not worked for a log time (maybe 2 years?) and is not expected to be fixed, as B&O has abandoned this product. I haven’t found that I miss the middle ring, but I do think it is absolutely shameful that B&O discontinued support for this product so soon.
I have two, and I use at least one every day.
I’m not sure what “how-to” you need. I use mine to play netradio about 1/2 the time, and specific music 1/4 of the time. The other 1/4 of the time I use the moodwheel, though usually in the same are of the wheel (upper left) because it turns out that I mostly want happy, calm music.
I love having a physical interface instead of having to dig my phone out and open an app to start music, change volume, or select different content.
So much hate for the Moment! I absolutely love mine – I’m listening to music on the one in my office as I type this message. It’s a gorgeous device that works great for what I do with it.
But to be fair, I bought both of mine used and knew what I was getting into. I can imagine I’d be upset if I purchased it based on the promise of specific functionality that never arrived
“Bang & Olufsen Radio will be available on all Connected Audio speakers from Q2 2022”
I’m going to take a wild guess that the Beosound Moment will be excluded from that update. ๐
