Could be that the laser reach the end. Or laser current must be corrected ( don’t do if you are not familiar, you would kill the laser from overcurrent)
Im not totally agreed. You had beovox rl60 who had foam surrounds, after that rl60.2 with rubber surrounds. For durability i would take rubber surrounds. But that is my opinion. I would not re-do the process each 15y because it’s time consuming
Zo vlug mogelijk laten doen.
Hello, do you still own the Beolink 7000 ?
Noo it is an extremely expensive grease. I ordered in the past the lubrication from B&O.
Klüber Barrierta grease L55/1
try to buy a small amount because 1kg cost 1755€.
it is a white grease, not corrosive to plastic gears and bearings. You mean the laser or a new cdpro2 module?
Regarding the differences:
beocenter 9000 has another laser than the 9500 ( identical to cd5500) and the 9300 has original cdm4, upgraded to cdpro ( same laser like Beosound 1 cd).
Well actually the bc2000 has output to passive speakers ( beovox) and your beolab needs powerlink, a variable line signal…
You need to be creative and make a PL cable L to output cinch L and one PL cable R to output cinch R.
it is a variable signal so you can use active speakers or a stereo power amp or monoblock’s.
or if you want to do it neat like B&O, one powerlink cable and at the other end L and R out
NOO don’t replace the woofers. Just replace the foam surrounds with rubber ones so they will not desintegrate again in 15y. If you replace the woofers, it is not the same speaker again. Rubber surrounds are cheaply to obtain. If you can’t do it, ask somebody to do that.
and just look how the capacitors are in the crossover ( mostly Roederstein elco’s i think, now Vichay).
succesIt is not that easy. It is not only the woofers but partially the amplifiers too.
20xxx and i know they are mk2 with abl (aka mk3).
Actually i know exactly that there are 4 versions of the 8000…
And i hear the difference between mk2 and mk2 ABL too…
November 29, 2022 at 10:33 am in reply to: Beolab 4000 vs Beovox CX 100 – which one is the better solution? #11891If you compare the specs, the cx100 is going derper in the low frequency range but the maximum sound pressure is higher in the bl4000
November 9, 2022 at 2:18 am in reply to: Are older speakers more pleasant to hear than modern speakers (Beolab)? #10997Actually i own BL8000(from 2007) and BL4000 and i really don’t like their sound compared to my Beovox RL60.2 and RL140. The sound is thin and missing depth. The soundstage is not so wide. So my experiences ence is that the older bigger Beovox speakers sounding warmer and more romantic/more pleasant to my ears. And the moderner ones with Icepower have Listening_fatique on my ears. I have a very good hearing. (Offtopic i listened at a dealer on a pair of expensive b&w speakers with a heavy McIntosh tube amp(6xKT150/ch) and the feedback in the amp was extreme. The sound was cold and harsh and lifeless. (and it is always Eric Clapton. Mein gott. Frying your eardrums). All the listening pleasure was gone. I even got a starting headache from the sound ) So in my opinion i like even The Beovox more than Beolab. Maybe it is because im a hyper sensible person. I don’t know…
hopelijk helpt dit je probleem op te lossenSeems that is was indeed not done at the factory (not properly bend). Maybe you could download the service manual and looking where it is in the diagram to clear things out
You are right it looks much better than the very expensive ones (indeed too wide and bulky) and your solution is also alot cheaper
Woofer cones? Or you mean the rubber surrounds?
That is true. Only the abslutely technical 100% perfect panels are reserved for B&O. Even if it would fit of working the quality would be nog good enough.
