Perfect, thanks! Then I am ready for the 100‘s but will have to convince my wife 😉
And, if you don‘t mind, as long as you still have both, a picture with both M75 vs M100 would be really nice. Maybe also to put the Flash-your-B&O thread back to live 🙂
best regards, Christian
Hi Beoandy, tat is really a good finding, thanks! Having a Beosystem 3 in the cellar, which is not in use exactly due to this circumstances…
My main loudspeakers are Beolab 90s and I also use Beovox MS150.2s regularly.
Hi Adam, that is indeed superb! which amp do you use for the MS150.2s?
ps/edit: how to get out of the quote mode?
edit 2: ah it works, thanks Guy!
Hi there, that‘s a nice topic 🙂
I had the first series of S45‘s + an old Beomaster 2400, and next to them their updated version S45-2 on stands with a beosystem 4500. I still love their sound, but in a bigger room now work the S75 together with a Beosystem 6500, which play my music in a brilliant way 🙂
Next to this I like Beolab 7-2 + Beolab 6000 for a TV setup. I am astonished by the quality of the 6000‘s
For a small radio setup I had a Century which is superb for music + speech, which I prefer against Beosystem2500/Ouverture + Beolab 2500. I would swap back but I need the Masterlink. Because the Beolab 2000 as a satellite is also perfect for radio (speech) to my ears 🙂
Hi,
just wrote you a PM but maybe other people are interested as well:
Do you have a photograph of both speakers, M75 andM100‘s next to each other?
I am thinking about replacing my S75‘s but am unsure about additional space they would most probably need.
Further question, what is the size of M100 stand compared to M75? I have such stands but do not know whether they belong to m75 or M100
Thanks in advance
Congratulations and merry christmas!
And thanks for this nice place, here 🙂
(can’t edit my above post), MM is right, tagging tool is mp3tag 🙂
mixed up with mp3directcut which was great for cutting files (if needed, e.g. after a digitalization job)
Hello Stan
I made quite good experiences using CDEX for the ripping job, and MP3DirectTag for Tagging. All inWindows.
Where I have to add that I used mp3 with a high data rate. MP3directtag had also access to some databases. Unfortunately, getting the album art was more and more a pain (no interface to amazon any more), but somehow i managed.
I always copied it to Beomaster 5 using the seevice mode, with an external USB Stick, but it works also quite good via the shared folder.
Hi Matador, all,
this is fabulous! It remembers me to this thread,
https://archivedforum2.beoworld.co.uk/forums/p/49897/354382.aspx#354382
now in old forum, both really great work.
I just want to mention that one could re-use wooden blinds for the lamellas, like ikea „Lindmon“ (I think, not available any more but there are many similar on the market)?
Best regards!

Antwort! OK, ich befürchte, ich muss irgendwann dann doch mal für die Penta Platz machen 🙂
viele Grüße!
Hello,
this is indeed a good idea to put all of this into a clean and working product! I would be interested whether you support – or plan to – a 5.1 beolab setup like any other Beo7 (or Beosystem 3). Maybe one would have to buy an external decoder and feed its input by HDMI ARC or something like that?
Best regards

Viele Grüße und allen einen schönen Sommer
July 30, 2022 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Beolab 4000 – Taugen die was? Vergleich mit Beolab 6000 etc.. #7196(…)
Hello, my experience was unfortunately, that this is a beginning of the end of a a beolab 4000 speaker due to the foam-rot issue, just search the archive forums for „Beolab 4000“ and „foam“. These damping materials inside the Beolab 4000s are getting old and sticky and etch the PCBs to death. Resulting in the case that Beo4000’s do not switch on any more.
BTW, did anybody manage to repair them?
Best regards
Hello together,
the PC2 could be used with a Beolab 2000 or -3500?
These are quite cheap nowadays where I always found esp. the 2000 not too bad, in fact, for voice/Radio or voice on TV I like it very much. It could be a sophisticated home office setup for dry meetings held remotely 😉
I am not sure whether a Beo4 could control this setup?
I agree on the software, which is at least better than beomedia 1 – which is also in my cellar 😉
Best regards
Hello Remmel, this is indeed different from my Beo6500-CD-situation, where the motor always did spin up but could not get the tracks accordingly. So, in my case the repair was luckily quite straight forward in exchanging the one mentioned cap. (I have some left, btw…)
Maybe Martin can judge this. The linked Cap Kit seems to be a good approach, anyway.

Dear all, especially Lee, Keith, and also Foxtrott and Tignum and Steve and all others for the enthusiastic comments, I cannot beleive it! I was not logged on here as I am sick at the moment (nothing serious) and am overwhelmed by the double-win! Where I usually do not win anything… 🙂
So, many thanks!! this forum is really a great one, where I learned a lot since over 10 y’s and had already huge fun with 🙂
best regards, Christian
Hello Remmel, sorry I have to answer in English:
In the old new forum there were many discussions on an issue with a faulty capacitor on the servo PCB. I had similar issue like you with a 6500 Beogram CD. I could figure out that it might be that because the CD player worked with CDs containing only few tracks, and when it was warm, also with CDs which failed when being cold (just plugged in).
It was then quite easy to order this cap, dismantle 6500, and solder the new cap into it. Worked perfectly again afterwards.
Maybe you can find a similar post in the Archived Forum.
In the next days I could search for type and brand and location of that capacitor
Regards, K
