      I received my replacement Emerge on Saturday! Stereo setup was a breeze. I LOVE the sound! I’m so glad this is finally behind me and I can enjoy my speakers. I have them in the bedroom and I could stay in bed all day and listen to them!!

        Now that I have both the Level and the A5, to my ears the A5 sounds much better. I’m no audiophile, but it’s way more open sounding. goes louder, and oh that bass. The A5 sounds clearer too. Also sounds a lot better out on my screen porch than the Level does. I’m going to sell my Level and get a second A5! I’m in love!

        Out of the box there was an update for it. Setup was a breeze.

        The dark oak is better looking in person than the photos online. I’m glad I made that color choice. I like how the handle moves so smoothly and stays put no matter the angle.

        Of course I would never pay for a speaker like this for Bluetooth, so I have no comment there. I don’t use it on B&O products.

        I cannot wait to get home from work and check out those advanced settings Steve mentions and try Front Mode!

          I ordered the dark oak today!! Cannot wait!! I also own the Level so it will be interesting to compare them.

            Thanks to those who chimed in. The speaker is definitely DOA, and because I used a gift certificate as partial payment when purchased that I won’t get back, I have to keep it and send it in under warranty to get repaired. Thanks again for your suggestions!

              @Mark – Oh wow! Thanks for mentioning this. I did notice I still seen the sliver part of the plug both times where it goes into the emerge. When it is on correctly and pushed in all the way, should you see any of the silver on the USB-C?? Now I really can’t wait to get home from work make sure I am in fact pushing it in all the way, on both ends. I keep keep thinking it has to be something … B&O products are not known to arrive DOA. Thank you!

                @Hiort – Yeah, I most likely will need to return it. Ugh! I was just curious if anyone else had this issue because I did read one review online where it said it was DOA, but then he used his MBP cable and it turned right on.

                I didn’t think to test the Emerge cable and power plug on something else to make sure that is working (I’ll try that after work), but I did use the Level’s cable and power plus on the Emerge (that I know works) and it did not turn on the speaker.
