I think the price is high, they are readily available for less than half of that, and you can buy them with a new video engine (the most common part to fail ) for circa £1500
Speaking from personal experience I switched out my Apple TV on the V1 for a Roku device, still offers PUC control and air play, far cheaper and really easy to fit in the rear cut out of the V1.
No, zero control over anything.
Thanks for your help gents, seems power cycling the router and TV together solved the problem.

Hey, thanks for your response. I should have added that I have tried the Ethernet connector on my Apple TV and it works absolutely fine. And yes the V1 has always been visible under devices on the Google home app (iPhone version).
