      Hi Mvee,

      Maybe I can help you.

I am trying to make and adjust the frets for 4 mm wood for Beolabs 6000, 8000 and 2500. It will take a lot of time and I’am almost there for Beolab 600 and 2500. With a little help from my students at Echnaton in Almere.

I have used your stl-files and adjusted it a little bit.

It will always a Do It Your Self project but nice to do.

      Greetings, Jan.

        Hello Bram,

Is it a idea to share your files for Beolab 6000 Mark 2 with us so that we can see what to adjust it for the bottom ones?

Something is still not good enough.
The two bottem frets don’t fit and I have cut something off whit a sharp knife to make it fit. This maybe something to do with the fact I have mark 1 Beolabs 6000.

So you need for one speaker:

          • One on the top (STL is good)
          • One for the tweeter (STL is good)
          • Two for de bottem, witch I have to adjust. (Current STL using for the top is not yet good enough, but still can be used with a little adjustment)

I will try to adjust this in a new STL-file for the bottom.

            Hello,

I’m no expert, but I was able to adjust both of your stl files with Tinkercad after printing. The small ridges where the wooden slats were located were loose because there was a gap between them and fell off or broke off.

See the photo, what the improvement is. On the left it’s your version and on the right it’s mine. What is not yet clear to me is whether 4 mm slats and a glue gun are needed or whether 5 mm slats fit between them.

            Greetings, Jan

              Dag,

I made something better I think.

              Mayby not perfect.

Before I found this item I ordered some at Markplaats.nl for €50,00. See the picture below what he sent to me. Not so good. He said I have to use only 4 for 2 Beolab 6000-speakers. After complaining about it the answer was that the wil be good enough to use.

The original stl-files ditn’t work for me printing with a Dremel and Ultimaker original printer. There was a little gap between the things where you put the wooden frets in.

I dit turn it om 180 degrees before printing and printing the tweeter I had to use extra support.

After downloading please remove the pdf in the end.
I am working on the Beolab 2500 frets.

                Hi,

                Thanks Steve for your reply.

I have such a Powerlinkcable (not yours) and I will try it out to use it as an extra speaker to the Beosystem 3500 or Beocenter 8500 with Beolab 6000

The Beolab 7.1 is working connecting with someting like this connecting with an Macbook to play Apple Music.

                https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/102-438-minijack-to-beolab-2-7-8-10-28-and-2500-powered-trigger-kit.html#/2-length-1m

Beolab 7.1 is old, nice sound but so big. So I have to figure out where to place it.
