Its a Mk 1, I have given up on it to be honest and have asked the seller (reseller of B&O equipment) to take it back and refund me.

Thank you though for all the advice, perhaps a MK2 would work better.

Ok I bought a WiFi extender by mistake….I now understand what you mean so what I have done is I have taken the playmaker to the room where the router is and have connected the playmaker via an Ethernet cable directly to the router, connected speakers and I still have the same issue! 🙁

So I purchased a powered network adaptor. The adaptor has full bar signal…..connected the playmaker via Ethernet cable. It works initially then a couple of hours later when the TV has been used it has the same problem. As soon as the TV is switched on I can’t connect anymore to the playmaker via Airplay. I can see the playmaker on Apple Music but it says cannot connect. If I turn the TV off the playmaker still doesn’t work, I have to reboot the playmaker each time. I have tried to change the channel used on the Wifi router but it made no difference.

Thanks Guy for the reply. I will have to try that as its too far to connect it to the router.

Otherwise it works really well and is quite useful.

Another reason why the sound isn’t great is that if it still has the original dampening foam inside, it would have turned to mush by now and that effects the sound greatly. When I changed the foam in mine the sound changed dramatically. Was like a totally different speaker.

I use a beolink 1611 converter with all my stand alone BL3500’s. Works perfectly.

Only have to press one button to start listening and you can alter the bass, treble etc and the preset volume. You can’t do anything like when using just a cable.
