Very nice indeed.
For shipping considerations, it would also be good to know where you ship from.Martin
Depends on the type of Beovox 3702.
Kits are readily available:

It’s a known problem with this drive type.
Glue in a small piece of carton or plastic card (apprx 0,5 mm thickness) here:You can give the exposed motor bearing a tiny drop of sinter oil.
The belt for the motor must NOT be tight!Martin
It’s not uncommon to see the Beocords rubber feet missing as they harden with age.
The outer parts break off, while the inner parts fall inwards where they will often
get stuck between the Beocords bottom plate and the drawer, causing a braking effect.
Look in from the front with a torch light.Martin
Difficult to diagnose from a distance, but I have seen aftermarket cables with
wrong pin configurations.Martin
Check continuity in the cables.

And what is the tracking force set to?Martin
Solenoid leads touching the platter underside?

It’s cast metal.
It can come out if you heat it carefully, not melting the plastic, only softening the glue.Martin
Not sure what you mean?
VTVM usually refers to a Vacuum Tube Volt Meter (F.e. Bang & Olufsen RV9/RV11 etc.,
but today most digital meters have a suitable high impedance so will work fine for most readings of this type.Martin
Dont’ use readouts of old and bad components for reference!
Set the new trimmer in its center position, fit it and refer to the servicemanual for
the corresponding measuring points and correct settings.Martin
Did you try what I suggested?

Does the white bar at the back tumble when lifting/lowering?

Is it in play state?
If so, it looks right, considering the heavily set tracking force.Martin
Service kit etc. here.
And it looks a very nice project.
They are definitely worth it.Well spotted, that break!

I have seen cases, where too much friction between the metal arm on the microswitch and the actuator arm that rubs against it inside the contact housing kept it from activating.
Clean the parts and add a little teflon oil to lower the friction. And, as mentioned above, the deck will not work correctly upside down, which makes
it a little tricky to diagnose and test.Martin
It may be a little oxidation on the contacts, – it could wear away in daily use.

Are you sure it’s actually playing stereo? Could be a tuner/MPX decoder problem.Martin
Beolab 4000 will never be 100% quiet.
It’s more or less in the nature of active speakers. Keep in mind that they
are on max volume constantly and will amplify every bit of noise picked up by the
signal cable (read: “antenna”).
Even with a shorted RCA plug inserted, they will almost always produce a very slight hum when out of standby.
As mentioned by Ravsted above, if you cannot hear it unless very close to the speaker, it can be considered normal.Martin
