      Hi,
Yes I agree, we need more information please!
By the way, I’ve never been a bronze member — always gold! Odd.

Good thing, the trimmers were already replaced. Follow the service manual to set bias.

          Hi,

Entirely worth the efforts. Mine has been to service every single day since its repair 10 years ago. The other day we went out for a few days, the 4400 had been left on. No problem at all. Once restored properly the 4400 is reliable and above all, sounds mighty fine. Mine feeds M70s in the lounge.

A very nice smooth transition. Well done!

            Long live Beoworld.

What will become of prize draws then?

              1. C’est Hi,

The cartridge rides too high, and looks dirty. A new one seems mandatory here, unless a good clean solves the issue (which I doubt).

              The SSMC4

from the Soundsmith comes to mind of course. Highly recommended.

                  Hi Lee, Keith,

                  Sad and good news then.

I have now been a member for 15 years and I must say that Beoworld has been a good part of my everyday life for all those years.

I know all the efforts you put into this beautiful project, and let’s hope that the database, the product section with the invaluable manuals and forum will keep going for a long time.

                    Hi Steve,

A cheap Beogram is always worth it.

                    My best deal was a € 80 Beogram 4000 with a $ 70 SMMC20EN – brand new.

I love the M70s. Definitely something to look for. Tim wrote an excellent article in HFN&RR a few years ago.

What Adam says above. Have it fixed, it’s a superb amplifier.

                                  Hi,

My list regarding sound quality comprises:

                                  — 1-Beomaster 4400

                                  — 2-Beomaster 6000

                                  — 3-Beomaster 8000

                                  Then the Beolab 5000 + Beomaster 5000 of 1967.

The other ones are nice too but not as good as the above. To me they are the best and are reliable once restored properly.

I have a penchant for the sheer bulk and elegance of the 8000 though ☺️

It would be really nice to have an Excel chart with all the SN.

We have that for Quad, Philips…

                                    Martin? ?

                                        Hi,

I had a bad motor once that had not enough power to lift the lid, on a CDX.

A new motor solved the problem.

Does the motor stop altogether or do you hear it struggling ?

                                            Hi,

Or the Terminal 8000, of course. But no stepped volume drops or reset! But it does work fine.
