I like the music thanks for sharing the information.
August 9, 2023 at 12:17 am #22847I am a new owner of a Theatre, and am having problems running roomsense measurements, when setting up my listening positions. In fact I have only got it to work once (during which I’d managed to set up some positions), but it mostly fails.
Does anyone know what could be the reason for this? Does the room have to be absolutely quiet whilst running roomsense?
August 9, 2023 at 9:21 am #22860The room should be quiet. Are you living in a unusually noisy place?
August 9, 2023 at 9:33 am #22862Are your BL 3’s connected via cables or using WiSA receivers?
August 9, 2023 at 9:50 am #22864If you have contact to the people developing the app, please forward my query, thanks: When connecting older B&O speakers to the Theatre via WiSA using Beolab Receiver 1’s there is currently no way telling the Theatre which older B&O speakers are connected via WiSA (in my case Beolab 3 rear surrounds). Hence the bassmanagement cannot work as intended. Will this become fixed?
August 10, 2023 at 5:28 pm #22895I do get road noise coming in. I will try again at night when it’s quieter to see if it helps.
August 10, 2023 at 6:15 pm #22897Good luck, shut windows and doors, silence anything else in your room making noise. If it does not work again, then there’s probably something wrong with your item. Contact support then.
August 12, 2023 at 6:52 am #22926Does anyone know if you can deactivate the buttons/controls on the top of the Theatre as our cat keeps turning up the volume.
Thanks 🙂
September 6, 2023 at 1:23 pm #23665Just a heads up (sorry if this is not news)
I’ve talked to B&O today, and they indicate that new speakers (i asked specifically to ceiling speakers) are coming to support the surround capabilities of the Theatre.
They couldn’t reveal anything but they indicated that it was in the near future, and I should keep my money in my pocket just for a little while instead of buying any existing beolabs.
September 6, 2023 at 2:16 pm #23668? ? ?
September 6, 2023 at 7:46 pm #23679I heard that it will be a successor of the Beolab 3, e.g. a small speaker. Currently I’m using Beolab 3 as rears together with the Beosound Theatre.
September 6, 2023 at 8:10 pm #23682Some say a BL3 replacement, some say BL17 replacement, some even say a mini BL28 form-factor.
I would not be shocked at a £5-8k price point and that it’s actually a Powerlink Beosound (I.e big brother to the Balance).
For me, adoption will be based on form-factor. Something very compact and easy to hide high-up on a wall or ceiling. Something as complicated design-wise as a Balance or BL28 won’t work for me.
Expect it comes to market between now and the end of October. Next week is also CEDIA….we could be lucky but it seems too near to the Ferrari SE launch for me to think it definite?
September 6, 2023 at 10:37 pm #23687Ive noticed that any beta or official Firmware updates for the Theatre have really dried up recently. I mean B&O was pretty slow from the start almost a year ago but Im a bit disappointed as both the app features / UI and firmware really need some improvements.
September 6, 2023 at 11:25 pm #23688I think a lot of the team were on break over the summer months. I received an update today on beta so I think they will start build up momentum once again

Could the not also enable Powerlink via one of the two Ethernet ports Beosound Balance has? ?
September 7, 2023 at 7:48 am #23694No, as I hear it……..the BS Balance cannot simply converted to a Beolab. To me it sounds as simple to do as plugging in. 3.5mm Jackplug for earphones. However, it’s beyond B&O at this time.
There is also the question over Wi-Fi, WISA and Bluetooth. They are not all compatible together and antennas have to be minimum distance apart. I think WISA is the problem?
All this is my speculation but I would not be surprised if an adapter-product is finally developed to link all these Beosound loudspeakers together for solid stereo or surround pairing. They really need to.
September 12, 2023 at 7:52 am #23946Software on BS TH and BL 28 are now on 3.2.1

General question for users: are we advised to recalibrate listening locations after an update due to updated sound profiles in the software?Thank you
September 12, 2023 at 11:19 am #23961I dont think so.
I wad given Beta 3.2.1 a couple of weeks ago but received no instructions other than to log the experience. No stated improvements were listed. No Beta/User adjustments were stated as required.
My general assumption – given what is in the public domain currently is that a) there was general de-bugging of Mozart issues, and b) possibly new algorithms for newly released products (BL8??)
September 15, 2023 at 7:50 am #24070Im also considering using bl3 as rear,do they work well with theatre?Or bl7 is a better option for the case?
September 15, 2023 at 8:17 am #24071Received the update 3.2.1 yesterday. Sound volume from TV has decreased drastically. Normal listening volume was around 50, now I have to crank it up to 55!! Switching between channels causes audio loss! Sometimes no sound at all. In other words, drama. Anyone else with the same problems?
