I would like to switch the stereo amplifier to a mono amplifier in order to get a higher output from the single channel than from either of the originals.

            Like 1x80w instead of 2x40w?

The important thing is not that the output is doubled. What interests me is if it is possible to do and if anyone has a solution.

It is important for people who try to understand what you want to achieve or may want to do the same in the future. That may “interest them” as well…

I’m sorry but you don’t seem to have an answer on this question.

And I’m sorry too but you dont seem to understand what a forum is all about: common knowledge, future help, things like that…
