Hello all, new member here. Just thought I’d share my B&O-inspired aesthetic designed amplifier case. It has a large 190 mm integrated volume potentiometer and acts as a heat sink with lower convection cooling. I recently rebuilt and modified a set of CX100’s and connected them in parallel to a passive subwoofer. After their rebuild, I was taken aback by the enormous soundstage and overall presentation, that I had to design an amplifier case to match the aesthetics that B&O is known for….

Although I hate to break it to you but you’re not really listening to CX100s by the looks of it, as they appear to be far from original.
February 21, 2024 at 5:25 pm #30187I’ve owned quite a few classic Beovox and I have to say these are the best imaging and midrange-detailed for their size. I have another set that I will do the exact same modifications to. I have built custom baffles out of solid alloy and it is the go-to medium in my opinion.
Again, kudos to B&O for the quality of alloy they used in making these back in the day. They simply need a layer of dampening applied internally to make them almost dead-quiet.
