Hey B&O friends ,I have a beosystem 3 all set with 4 Beolab 1 speakers and a Beolab 2 subwoofer and a beolab 7.6 center speaker . Also I have my beosound 9000 (MK3) connected with a masterlink cable to the beosystem 3.
Now , the sound is perfect for movies with all speakers working correct for surround but when I put on my beosound 9000 and play a CD (for example) it plays surround sound . only vocals to the center and front speakers and not to the rear ones.
Sound rather strange …as I expected to have stereo sound for my music and surround for movies.
anyone know what to do to get it right?
thanks
October 29, 2023 at 7:37 pm #25441Hello kriskarman,
In the ‘sound adjustment’ menu there is the option to choose defaults for audio and video. For ‘DEFAULT AUDIO’ it should then state ‘SPEAKER2’ for stereo + sub. Maybe have a look there first? Don’t forget to ‘STORE’ the setting.
Let us know what you find,
Regards, Johan

October 30, 2023 at 7:29 pm #25484You might use “Speaker 2” instruction on your Beo4. List until “speaker” appears, then press 2.

November 1, 2023 at 4:03 pm #25592well I tried to put it on “speaker 2” but that only put power to the 2 front speakers.
then I put it on “speaker 4” and than the fronts and back speakers worked with the subwoofer. All fine now ,
Thanks,
Kris
