Hi all !
My Beosound 9000 have a little problem as mentioned in the title of the topic, the sledge touches the back of the CDs.
I have found this very helpful topic on the forum where it is explained that the problem comes from two faulty parts.
https://archivedforum2.beoworld.co.uk/forums/p/9723/295830.aspx#295830
The rocker arm n°9134 and the small damper n°46 in the drawing below.
You can access to these parts by removing the bottom plate of the unit. Be careful when removing, there is grounds connected to the plate.
The rocker arm n°9134
The damper n°46
So this week I went to my local B&O reseller to buy these two parts and he told me that these parts were no longer avaible. But the technician was wery kind and told me that maybe he could find these parts on an old broken unit.
I came back home and in my mind, I doubted that the rocker arm was faulty as explained in the other topic. According to me, the mecanism is to weak to bend a part like this. So I concentrate myself on the damper. It is a small tube, I think it is made with silicone. And I think that maybe he is worn so the mecanism is not going down enough.
I decided to put a little heat shrink tube over the damper to slightly increase the diameter.
Like this.
The rocker arm mounted in the unit.
Detail of the damper with the heat shrink tube over it.
After this little modification, my Beosound 9000 works perfectly. I am very happy.
Now, the sledge fly over the CDs !
I hope this topic can help others with the same problem.
