I had not used by vertically standing Beosound 9000 for a few years (thanks to Essence …), but I wanted to listen to some CDs today so I connected the PL speakers right back to the Beosound and gave it a try.
But unfortunately:
- the sled is touching the CDs when switching from CD to CD
- whenever I change the source – either from Radio to CD or from CD to CD – the stereo omits a really loud “Bang”
- Beosound does not feed into the Masterlink any more – the other two rooms who still have masterlink cannot play Beosound’s content.
I noticed a thread relating to problem number 1, but I am clueless for problems 2 and 3. Would you have an idea

I wanted to share an update on above topic.
As no spare parts are available for the BeoSound 9000 any longer, my official B&O dealer was unable to repair the device.
However, I did find a gentleman in Switzerland who buys old B&O equipment and uses it to refurbish or repair “vintage” models as mine. In my case, they had to fix the sled, replace the MasterLink module and do some soldering on the amplifier. Works and looks as new! I paid EUR 330 for the repairwork.

June 10, 2023 at 6:53 am #21199Thanks zuegers07 for the information on Mr Beck. I got in touch with him about my BS9000 as it needs a new laser and check up after a lot of use.
