Hi all,
I’ve just revived a non-playing Beosound 1 CD by following @filip_kbh ‘s incredibly useful video on cleaning the underside and mirror of the laser. Initially thought everything was good again, but seem to be getting skipping the further through the tracks it goes.
Using test mode I’m errors 0B01 0C01 but no idea what these specifically relate to other than the vague descriptions in the service manual.
Any suggestions on what’s causing it? Is there any kind of reset or recalibration that needs to be done after the cleaning?
October 22, 2023 at 9:00 pm #25137Unfortunatly, My brother in law told me today that the deep cleaning of his Beosound 9000 laser was not “that” successful. Maybe I’ve overestimated the cure it could be.
Would like to have said something better.
October 22, 2023 at 10:06 pm #25140It seems like it’s becoming more sporadic when playing CDs – I have a laser unit from another BS1, maybe I’ll swap it and see wha happens!
October 23, 2023 at 7:14 pm #25177If you have time and are willing to investigate please take care on that “sporadic” scheme : He also told me that his Beosound read some discs and always refuse some others, whatever where they are placed. So maybe your sporadic behavior his related to some specific discs and therefore something can be learned from this. Thank you.
