Hi. I’ve just bought a Beomaster 3000 on eBay manufactured in 1971 . Phono and tape are fully functional but there’s no audio output from the radio receiver ( including FM and all pre-set buttons). Both headphones socket and speakers are silent). Any advice or idea? Thanks
Joan

Ensure that the source selector is set to “Radio” or “FM” when you’re trying to listen to the radio. Sometimes, it’s a simple matter of the input being incorrectly selected.Make sure that the FM antenna (typically a wire or external antenna) is properly connected. A weak or disconnected antenna can result in poor or no reception. If there’s no audio from the FM radio, the tuner section might need attention. myccpay account Try turning the tuner dial through the FM band, and see if you can hear any faint stations. If not, it could be an issue with the tuner circuitry or components.Verify that the speaker wires are correctly connected to the Beomaster 3000. Check for any loose connections or frayed wires. Also, make sure that the speakers themselves are functioning properly. Some vintage audio equipment has a mute function that can be engaged accidentally. Check if there’s a mute button or switch, and make sure it’s set to the “off” position.Over time, vintage electronics can accumulate dust and dirt that may affect their performance. Consider cleaning the internal components, including switches, potentiometers (volume and tone controls), and connectors. Be cautious when cleaning to avoid damaging delicate parts. If you’re not comfortable with electronics repair or if the issue persists after checking the above points, it’s advisable to consult a professional audio technician or vintage electronics specialist. They have the expertise and equipment to diagnose and repair vintage audio equipment effectively.
