      Dear all,

It has taken me sometime, but was chuffed that I managed to control various automated actions in my home using my verbal instructions to Alexa that using IFTTT and connection to my BLI that did all sorts of useful things. Saying “Good Night” I could turn all my ambient lighting off as well as my Beovision and head up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire.

Since 31st October Alexa and IFTTT went their separate ways I have lost that functionality.

This is a real shame. I guess there will be a work around and was looking for advice for a solution. Rather than go off and try and find a solution, there are cleverer people than me out there that will already have got this sorted. If someone could send me off in the right direction, that would be most helpful.

      All advice welcomed

      Cheers, Gary

Presumably “Home Assistant” will do the trick of combining Lights, Alexa, BLI and B&o.

          Thanks, Carolpa.

Looking at the “available resources” on the BLI help page for HA the list of interfaces is limited to:

Shades (SHADE): shade without state of level.
Shades with level (SHADE): shade with state of level.
Shades with level and tilt (SHADE): shade with state of level and tilt.
          Lights (DIMMER): dimmer.
Lights with Color (DIMMER): dimmer with colors.
Thermostat 1SP (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint.
Heat Thermostat (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only heat mode.
Cool Thermostat (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only cool mode.
Heat/Cool Thermostat (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only heat and cool modes.
Auto Thermostat (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only auto mode.
Thermostat 1SP with Fan (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint and fan.
Heat Thermostat with Fan (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only heat mode and fan.
Cool Thermostat with Fan (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only cool mode and fan.
Heat/Cool Thermostat with Fan (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only heat and cool modes and fan.
Auto Thermostat with Fan (THERMOSTAT_1SP): thermostat of one setpoint with only auto mode and fan.
Thermostat 2SP (THERMOSTAT_2SP): thermostat of two setpoints.
Thermostat 2SP_F (THERMOSTAT_2SP): thermostat of two setpoints and fan.
          Alarm (ALARM): alarm.
Alarm with Night (ALARM): alarm with night mode.
Alarm with Custom Bypass (ALARM): alarm with custom bypass mode.
Alarm with Night and Custom Bypass (ALARM): alarm with night and custom bypass modes.
Alarm with Trigger (ALARM): alarm with trigger.
Alarm with Trigger and Night (ALARM): alarm with night mode and trigger.
Alarm with Trigger and Custom Bypass (ALARM): alarm with custom bypass mode and trigger.
Alarm with Trigger, Night and Custom Bypass (ALARM): alarm with night and custom bypass modes and trigger.

All good, I can turn lights off, but no direct control like I had with IFTTT for my B&O equipment.

Do I assume that I give Alexa an instruction and ‘she’ tells HA what I want to do and then HA sends an instruction via webhooks/IFTTT which fires a macro on my BLI?

          Gary
