Hi everyone.

I have here 4 beolab 8000 speakers

With powerlink they work fine.

I want to use my denon receiver so i can play more then just a cd.

 

When i put the switch to line in. I heare buzzing.

With 2 speakers the light stays green without anything connected. Or somtimes switches back to red and then immediately green again.

 

When green i hear buzzing. This with all4 speakers but 2do turn to red and the buzzis gone.

 

When playing music or speaker is connected to radio with radio on or standby the buzzing is gone. I do heare little static then but could be mu computer .

Turning the radio off the buzzing is back.

Many seem to have problems like this but i cant seem to find a solution. Hope someone here can help.

The user has four Beolab 8000 speakers that work fine with PowerLink but experience buzzing when connected to a Denon receiver via line-in. With only two speakers connected, the LED stays green without anything connected, but sometimes switches back and forth between red and green, and the buzzing is gone. However, when all four speakers are connected, the LED turns red, and the buzzing persists. The buzzing disappears when playing music or when the speakers are connected to a radio with the radio on or in standby. The user is seeking a solution to this buzzing issue and also mentions a problem with auto turn on/off not working.

Thank you for the reply.

Problem is 100% within the speakers.

Even with only the power cord connected en switch to line in i hear the buzzing and speaker wont tutn off.

Setting the switch to powerlink there is no problem

Dear Jessy1984.

I am experiencing a same kind of issue. (See this thread)

But I can tell that when the switch in the foot is set to Line and you have nothing connected, then it is quite normal to hear noise/hum. This RCA connector is very sensitive and when nothing is connected, it will act as a kind of antenna picking up noise.

I hope someone with more experience will respond to this or my thread. My feeling is there is an issue with grounding, but I am not sure where to look.
