Hello,
Sometimes (and more often since a few time), the arm of my Beogram 6006 does not return to parking position at the end of the disc.
It happens when the end-groove is very close to the center, so the reading arm is far on the label.
When pressing stop, I hear the motor spinning but the arm does not move. Same with the fast return key.
It looks as the moving cart has gone out of the guiding spindle.
Today, I solved the problem by moving this spindle by hand, but it is not satisfactory.
A played a “shorter”LP with a larger end-groove palyed without problem.
Can I check something?
Thanks by advance,
Yann.
November 4, 2023 at 12:27 pm #25739Replace the wedge-shaped belt for the carriage motor.
Also dirt and/or dry lubricants towards the leftmost end of the threaded spindle can cause
excess friction and make the belt slip.
Clean the threaded shaft and add a handful tiny drops of teflon oil.Martin
November 4, 2023 at 12:34 pm #25740Thanks Martin,
I found the belt on Beoparts, but I absolutely don’t know where to find the teflon oil.
Is there a brand/name that you can recommend?
Kind regards,
Yann.

November 15, 2023 at 6:56 pm #26192Hi Martin,
The new belt is arrived and I sourced teflon bicycle oil for dry condition.
A question: How to remove safely the transport in order to clean the threaded spindle and what attention points should I take care of?
Kind regards,
Yann.

Belt exchanged.
Threaded spindle cleaned withoud removing the arm. Not perfect but I did what I could.
Then lubrification with the above-mentioned lubricant.
The arm acts now as designed.
Let’s hope it will last.
I’d liked to have the BG recapped, but it’s out of my competencies.
Yann.
