I have a beogram 5005 which starts, drops, and tracks beautifully but when it gets to the end of the record it doesn’t lift and return straight away. I thats a number of goes to track the last bit with the tone arm jumping back before eventually lifting and returning to park correctly.

      Any ideas?

Check the needle pressure if that doesnt help check the end of play adjustment according to repair manual

I have slightly over weighted the needle pressure to help but is making no difference.

I have been through the manual and cannot see an end of play adjustment, only a set down adjustment. Could you show me this section please?

You are right, no end of play adjustment. Check that Switch S3 and Relay R2 is working, and all the mechanic parts for PU arm up/down are clean and lubricated and moving freely

Its like the tracking is sluggish.

I’m going to replace the LDP light dependent photoresistor to see if that helps.

Does anyone know the rating for this?
