Hi,
I have a BEOCORD 5500 which needed a new belt to replace the snapped old one.
the drawer slides in and out fine, but the motor continues to run past the open and closed positions, putting strain on the drawer motor and subsequently the belt (probably why the last one was snapped).
i have read that this maybe to do with the timing being incorrect on IC9 or OPT Amp? not being an engineer i am struggling a bit. i do have a small amount of knowledge, but any help to point me in the right direction as to what to check and what i would need to replace would be a big help.
I’m worried to use it in case the belt snaps again.
October 14, 2022 at 12:15 pm #9694When i remember right: there is a timer function in the drawer motor control.
It is started for around 2 seconds , in -and out, toggled.
It does not detect overload or a position. Just 2 seconds motor on…
I think: typical cap problem in the motor control…
October 14, 2022 at 2:01 pm #9698It’s like that from factory.
It’s timed to run for an adequate time – plus a little – to make sure the drawer closes, even if it should run a little rough.Martin
October 14, 2022 at 2:09 pm #9701it squeaks loudly each time once the draw stops.
should i lube the belt lightly? seams wrong.
