The control of LG TV is done through an ethernet connection and a special protocol. Here it’ll be through the HDMI cable using the CEC protocol, which will be more limited and can be flaky on some TVs

I’m looking forward to your first impressions!

Dealer received his stock and shipped my Core to me today ?

I wonder about the app interface of the new Core. Apparently, the Beolab 18s (for example) show up in the app (they don’t show up with the old Core). But is there an advantage because of this?

Received my BCC today. Connected my 1s to it and am very happy with it. Have been able to play my BS3000 and BS5 through it via a converter. To my ears, the 1s sound better. The imaging is better and they now seem to disappear in the way I have noticed newer BLs to.

NEVER MIND: I read through the manual, and it is only Beosonic unless you have a Shape.

                Hi Razlaw,

Does the Core Connected have any advanced sound settings beyond the “Beosonic” equalizer? I just noticed in the latest BeoApp release there are some new advanced sound settings for my Balances and curious if these are Mozart settings or specific to Balance settings.

                Thanks

I have connected it via powerlink to a Beolab 2 and from it to a pair of Beolab 8000. I can then stream music. However it does not work to connect it to my Sony Bravia TV.

                    From the user guide:
“Note: You might need to configure your TV to send out stereo sound (PCM) only. Beoconnect Core cannot decode surround sound formats, such as Dolby Atmos, which are the default on some televisions.”

Most TVs are not set to PCM as default. You may need to dig around in your TV’s audio menus to find how to set it to PCM instead of the default.

Ok, that sounds like a very good idea. I will see if I can do this. Thank you for the suggestion.
