My favourite FM station is above 104MHz. I have Europe model and upper frequense stop 104. I find that USA model goes up to 108MHz. I have schematics and service manual, but can’t find how to modify my receiver.
It has nothing to do with it being an export model or not;
Beomaster 3000 build-series 1, 2 and 3 tuned to 108MHz. From build series 4 it was limited to 104MHz. You cannot “modify” it. You must replace the tuner module and front panel = easier to find the right Beomaster.
Beomaster 4000 was also produced in versions with both ranges.
Thanks to PeterS help, I find solution. I changed zenerdiode(138) from 22V to 27 V. Now I can listen my favourite FM channel 105,5Mhz “Radio Nostalgia” and record it to my Akai 1710 tape-recorder.
