      Avant 55 & Beolab 14:
Well, I am operating a Bang&Olufsen Avant 55 TV with the soundsystem Beolab 14 for 6 years now – incredible sound with no problems.
Since two days I‘m having the problem that the Beoloab 14 is shutting down after an operating time of approximately 30 to 60 minutes.

Shutdown of the Avant 55 in standby and restart is not solving the problem.
Shutdown of the Avant 55, unplug and replug the power supply of the Beolab 14 and restart – the system is working correctly again, but only again for an operating time of approximately 60 minutes.

I have shutdown the Avant 55, unplugged the Avant 55 to make sure the TV will reboot after the next start but unfortunately the problem does still exist.

Does anybody had made the same bad experience or have an idea whats the reason for the failure? Any tip and hint would be appreciated and helpful.

You can check the power supply and connections for any loose cables or damage. Firmware updates for both the TV and the Beolab 14 may address compatibility issues. Follow My Health Sharp

I had the same problem on my Beolab 14. I think my problem was the thermal protection circuit because once I would restart it I would get less time before shutdown until I only got 10 minutes of play time. A long rest would start the cycle over again. I took my u it to a B&O repair shop but he was unable to get the boards to replace. Too bad this isn’t my area of expertise to have a go at it myself!

Wild guess, but something to try: Search for the Beoplay A6 heat sink reattachment repair. Same vintage era, same inexpensive price probably means a single-chip amp per channel.
