I have not yet found a way to manage this. Is this not possible?
I am usingt the ir-eye extension cable from my beovision avant 55, mk1.
My main tv networks provider where I can see all my national tv channels use swipe up on the apple remote to flip up a list of all the channels at the bottom of the picture (when watching live tv), then I can click left/right to quickly choose another channel. But I need the apple remote now all the time just to switch channels.
Has anyone been able to solve this? I am basically prepared to cancel my subscription to choose another tv provider if I can not get this to work 🙂
April 9, 2022 at 11:53 pm #4057I suggest you write a note to B&O support. The appletv remote PUC is really based on the non-touch remote and, as such is very limited in functionality. They could add this function as a long-press option on the up button for instance.
I suspect you’d get a lot of appletv users happy to see the new remote supported.

I tried to connect an old non-swipe-compatible apple tv remote but the swipe requirement on the tv channel switch was still there. Perhaps their apps are using this as standard when they recognize they are installed on an apple tv 4k since that remote can use swipe.
I guess I could go back to the old non-4k apple tv but then I will not get 4k screen which would be a downgrade on the avant that has great 4k ability.
I really like that my current setup with floor stand only has a single white power cable going down from the avant. The apple tv is hidden inside the back of the tv. I have been thinking about trying chromecast. I saw the ultra version had 4k. Anyone have any experience on this or any similar?
