In the Beolink settings in my devices there is an option to enable Airplay over Multiroom.
In a recent dialogue with B&O support, they said I should de-select this box since its being replaced by Airplay 2.
I recently tested a usecase I have and that is Airplay from my iPhone to my Beosound 1 GVA, and joining that play with my Beovision 11. That possibility seem not to be working anymore.
Anyone have same experience?

Still working over here!
Played DLNA to BP A6 multiroomed to BL8 and Moment. Started music on my iPhone and Airplayed it to the BP A6. Now all three devices are playing “Band on the Run”.January 9, 2024 at 2:31 pm #28436January 9, 2024 at 3:16 pm #28444Hmmm… I have to do some additional testing in my setup.
I have also sent an email to B&O support.
Moment has native Airplay support, right?
January 10, 2024 at 10:30 am #28488There must be some kind of misunderstanding there – probably on the side of the ‘support’.
No problems here either – works as usual, as intended.
Honestly….this would be a deep cut into the B&O Multiroom experience.See picture – this morning I started airplaying from the Apple Music app to an Essence, then joined in on my V1 (with Beo4), then expanded via the app to multiple devices (one of which is a Mozart product/BS Theatre).
All perfect and in sync.If you have further conversation with ‘the support’ please direct the guys to this thread.
Should there be any changes coming for this, I expect an official explanation/an announcement from B&O….not just something, that someone in ‘the support’ writes!

January 10, 2024 at 3:37 pm #28513Thanks MM.
The initial (and quite quick) reply from Support was some suggestions for trouble shooting.
So from that my conclusion is that the feature is still there.
This is the reply from Support that mentioned Airplay over multiroom:
“Thank you for your patience while we work on your case. We’ll be happy to provide an update.
We have checked with out technical team regarding your issue and they stated the network delay setting seems to be out of spec.
They have provided the following instructions:
Choose one of the products in the B&O app.
Choose settings > configure > settings > beolink > sound synchronization
Set wired to 200ms and wireless to 1000ms and try with these settings first
If still dropouts change the wireless delay to 1500 or more.
*If enabled the option “activate multiroom for airplay” then please disable as this is not used anymore since airplay 2 was introduced.”Not sure what they mean with “not used anymore”
January 10, 2024 at 5:12 pm #28521If “this is not used anymore since airplay 2 was introduced” was true, the app (in this case the Apple Music app) would have indicated, that it was sending to multiple devices…..that is how AP2 works.
However, that was not the case….it was sending to (one of) my Essence boxes. From there the stream was distributed through the B&O Multiroom network.
Otherweise it would never have reached my V1 tv, which certainly does not has support for AP2!!!Airplay 2 has been supported on the B&O devices for several years now.
This is good for people prefering that – essential for people with non-B&O devices, that they also want to play to via AP2.
But that certainly does not mean, that AP over B&O Multiroom/Beolink is “not used anymore”.MM
January 13, 2024 at 10:08 am #28612I just did some tests, and now everything works as expected, playing Airplay to a speaker and extending to my BV11. Have not made any changes.
Not sure what caused the initial problems, but all good now.
January 14, 2024 at 4:22 am #28623What app is this? Looking pretty cool and quite different from my B&O app. The two tagged sources are joined. What about the linked source?

this is the beta version of the B&o app. But the latest app store release looks similar (if I’m correct)
The two tagged sources are joined.
Correct
What about the linked source?
Not quite sure what you mean, to me Joined and Linked are more of the same.
